I am working with eav-django(entity-attribute-value) in django 1.9. Whenever I was executing the command ./manage.py runserver
, I got the error :

from django.contrib.contenttypes import generic
I tried to import generic by adding:
from django.contrib.contenttypes import generic
in models.py. Then after few research I found out that generic has been deprecated in Django 1.7 and is no more in Django 1.9. Can anyone tell me in which other library this functionality has been added in Django 1.9 and how to use it?
The django.contrib.contenttypes
module has been reorganized in Django 1.7.
Instead of django.contrib.contenttypes.generic.GenericForeignKey
you can now use django.contrib.contenttypes.fields.GenericForeignKey
. See the sample code in the documentation:
https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.7/ref/contrib/contenttypes/#generic-relations
