I am using IBM Bluemix to make a web service for a school project.
My project needs to request a JSON from an API, so I can use the data it provides. I use the http get
method for a data set, and I am not sure if it is working properly.
When I run my code, I get the message:
Error: Protocol "https:" not supported. Expected "http:"
What is causing it and how can I solve it?
Here is my .js
file:
// Hello.
//
// This is JSHint, a tool that helps to detect errors and potential
// problems in your JavaScript code.
//
// To start, simply enter some JavaScript anywhere on this page. Your
// report will appear on the right side.
//
// Additionally, you can toggle specific options in the Configure
// menu.
function main() {
return 'Hello, World!';
}
main();/*eslint-env node*/

When you want to request an https resource, you need to use https.get
, not http.get
.
