What is JBPM? Why use it?

I am java developer. I am developing a new application. In this application am going to integrate JBPM, spring and hibernate also.

So please, answer my below questions,

  1. what is JBPM?
  2. Why use it?
  3. What is workflow engine?

please give any example.

  1. JBPM is a good word for IT managers, a nightmare for programmers.
  2. Do not use it. Jbpm full with bugs..
