Unable to make JDialog modal

Question

I am trying to open a new JDialog when the "Register" Button is clicked..
But I am unable to make the JDialog modal..
I have tried setModal(true) and also setModalityType(ModalityType.DOCUMENT_MODAL); But no luck..(I am using Eclipse's WindowBuilder plugin)
P.S: I am new to JAVA..

Try making the dialog modal BEFORE you try and make it visible. You can't change the modal state once the dialog is made visible...
