toolbar.setNavigationOnClickListener not working

toolbar.setNavigationOnClickListener this function is not working have no clue why.

I forgot to say that if I slide I can see the menu is just the buttons is not logging neither being triggered.

Another thing to remember is that

calling

toolbar.setNavigationOnClickListener()

before

setSupportActionBar(toolbar);

won't work.
